Obituary of Marie Davis

Marie Davis, 79, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 in Zion, IL. She was born June 9, 1937 in Lee County, AL. She was a former employee of Cherry Electric and enjoyed the Chicago sports teams, the Bulls, Bears and Cubs. Her hobby was sending stationary cards to each of her children on EVERY holiday and birthday. She was a wise woman and said what was on her mind even though telling the truth hurts. “She was REAL.” Surviving her, 10 Children, 30 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mozelle Ruskin. Husband Willie F. Davis. Four sisters Marydell Ruskin, Lois Ruskin, Charzell Brown and Ruth Scott, one daughter Wanda Davis and three grandchildren Crystal, Isis and Derrick Ruskin. A visitation will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, 10:00a.m. To 11:00a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 2900 30th Street, Zion, IL following with the interment at Mt.
