Obituary of Marian Royce

Marian Royce, 92, of Pleasant Prairie, WI and formerly of Zion, IL died January 29, 2017 at the home of her daughter. Marian was born June 30, 1924 in Wausau, Wi and moved to Zion 61 years ago from the Anitgo, WI area. She married William Dearl Royce on September 29, 1945 in White Lake, WI. Marian worked for years at Warwick in Zion, Compacted Metals of Waukegan and retired from Andersson Tool and Die of Zion in 2000. She loved cooking and gardening. Marian was a sensitive, caring, and loving parent. She was deeply loved by her family and a shining example to so many. Survivors include her children, Bill (Judy) Royce of Kenosha, WI, Bob (Paula) Royce of Elkhorn, WI, Patti Reid of Richmond, MI, Sue (Jim) Pogue or Winthrop Harbor, IL, and Dan Royce of Kenosha, WI; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Kathryn Hunter of Antigo, WI, Jack (Beth) Kondzela of The Villages, FL, and Jim (Darlene) Kondzela of Antigo, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son-in-law, Dave Reid; grandson Matthew Royce, her parents; infant sister, Bernice Kondzela; brother, Lawrence Kondzela; and brother-in-law, Patrick Hunter. A visitation will take place Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Visitation in Antigo, WI will take place on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 415 6th Ave, Antigo, WI with a mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Antigo, WI. Memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or American Heart Association (www.heart.org) have been suggested.
