Obituary of Elaine Carol Stark

Elaine Carol Stark, 83, of Zion, IL, passed away on Saturday October 15. She was born September 22, 1933 in Watertown, WI, to Rudolf and Selma Degner. Elaine married Myron Ralph Stark on September 15, 1951 in Ixonia, WI, together they raised six children. Elaine was a devoted member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Zion, IL where she was active in the ladies guild and choir. Elaine enjoyed weekend and holiday visits with her family sharing meals and playing cards. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her beloved family and friends. Elaine was a faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother; a faithful church member; and a loving and faithful friend to those around her. Elaine is survived by her children, Joanne (Ronald) Green, James (Karen) Stark, Gerald (Cathy) Stark, and Lori (John) Tedesco; daughters-in-law Kathleen Stark, Christina Pope, Stacey Ewing, and Tiina Palmaki; and thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron; two sons, Robert and Timothy Stark; and a granddaughter Christy Ann Green. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1800 23rd Street, Zion, IL 60099. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1800 23rd Street, Zion, IL 60099.
