Obituary of Vada Welch

Vada Welch, 80, of Park City, IL, passed away October 11, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Vada was born May 24, 1936 in Fountain City, WI. She married Robert Gordon Welch and together they had 8 children. Vada retired from Coleman Cable in North Chicago after 28 years. She enjoyed reading and listening to country music. Vada is survived by her children, Lawrence (Ludean) Welch of Beach Park, David (Sheila) Welch of Antioch, Renee (Jack) Werenski of Antioch, William (Connie) Welch of Waukegan, Kimberly (Bobby) Jones of Park City, Melanie (Perry) Seilheimer of Beach Park, Charles (Christen) Welch of Winthrop Harbor, and Paul (Krystle) Welch of Park City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Welch; and a grandson Nathaniel Welch. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
