Hundreds of us who grew up in the nineteen fifties feel a sense of personal loss at the news of Pete's death. In the Junior Guards and Guardettes, the Passion Play and, of course at camp, Pete created wonderful experiences of adventure, fellowship and devotion. While honoring the spiritual foundations, he gave us all meaningful and joy-filled hours that resonate even today.
Within the condolences Windi and Cindi receive they will be reminded of the warmth and affection in which their father was held by the all of us whose lives he touched.

Few men have given of themselves to creating an environment for young people to experience the Love of Christ. How do you reach young people? You create opportunity where youngsters are exposed to the beauty and majesty of a loving God through His creation. Then set an example of sacrificial love for others to follow that honors Him and have God's Word proclaimed by a crackling campfire. Call it Camp Zion. Thank you Pete for being such a wonderful workman in God's outdoor sanctuary. May God bless and be with your family. Matt. 5:16, 16:25
With Love in Christ, Don & Marilyn Hough

Thank God for this man. Camp Zion is where I took Jesus as my Savior. Thank God for people with such vision. You'll never know just how many lives you touched.
Mr. Peters, Please say hello to my dad when you see him, I'm sure you knew him. God bless you!
