I am going to miss my friend JoEllen. We have had some wonderful times and some sad times together. Jo,Jackie and myself made a pack and we have stuck by it all these years and nobody can break other than death. Jo and I spent many years bowling together and working together at PSD Great Lakes Il. I remember the week before you got your wings, how much fun we had that day and I will always remember that with a smile. Gone but never forgotten RIP my dear friend.

Joellen was so much more than a GS employee! She was really in charge of the Administrative Department at PSD Great Lakes! Not only that, she was a great friend and founding member of the PSD 3 Musketeers - the team nobody could split up! JoJo enjoyed the Taste of Chicago, and tolerated the Bulls championship rallys for the sake of friendship and love of Cozy and Jackie. Nobody could separate this friendship except death. JoJo was the substitute mother to many a Yeoman at PSD. Joellen took care of everybody's needs before her own. Nobody knows what sacrifices she made. She was a fantastic cook as well! See you on the other side one day, my friend. Glad I had a chance to tell you before you went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We pay tribute to our departed member JoEllen Kelley who has been called from this life to one in the great beyond. Her ship of life has come to final anchorage, in a harbor yet uncharted and still unknown. We who still remain here know not the waters there, but we do know the course to steer; therefore, we know that our beloved departed member has found the harbor. To those who are left behind, there is little we can say, except that we sympathize deeply with them in this sad hour.

JoEllen was a wonderful friend from childhood on, sharing Brownie and Girl Scouts, church events at Westminster Presbyterian and always so available with her huge smile at class reunions! She made me feel like one of her best friends touching base frequently on digital media. This news comes as a complete surprise and I can only find comfort in believing my Will has already welcomed her into Gods kingdom with a huge hug!

Thanks to Catherine Heles I read on Facebook of JoEllen death . I was so sorry to hear of her passing. JoEllen and I lived on the same street in Worthington. She was older, but I remember walking to school together. Sometimes I would be early and would have breakfast with Jim. I remember her fondly. God be with the family. My prayers go out to the family

I miss my friend, my buddy. She always made me fit in, even though I was an outsider. We made Christmas trees for Shriners Hospital together, enjoyed painting her fence together. Talked about nothing special regularly. Loved our trips to Walmart, as I was the heavy lifter and could reach high for what you wanted. I know how you loved my homemade cookies.
Indeed a truly special friend and will be dearly missed. The world will miss you.

JoEllen you will be so missed by all of us who's lives your have touched over the years. I know my life would not be the same without you. When I was at my lowest, you and Kelly were there with Rodger and Debbie to help me make it though the bad time. We never saw each other often, but we would just pop up in to each others lives in the craziest places. You just seemed to be there. I love you and will miss you my friend.
