Obituary of Edward T. Pincombe
Edward T. Pincombe, born February 20, 1931, passed away May 13, 2016 at the age of 85. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Edward was born and lived in Zion, IL until 1979 at which time he moved to Neosho, MO after purchasing a farm where he and his wife Cecil oversaw the raising and egg production of 26,000 laying hens. He also owned Ed's Hobby Barn, selling radio-controlled cars and airplanes. He semi-retired and moved to Sparta, MO in the late 1990's and worked part time at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. After the death of his wife in 2005 he relocated to Gurnee, IL.
Edward had a life-long love of flying, owning many planes, even building an experimental aircraft the "Stitts Playboy." He could often be seen flying the Playboy in the skies over Zion in the late 1960's. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
He is survived by his 6 children from his first marriage to Theresa May; Edward (Cynthia) Pincombe, Larry (Roxanne) Pincombe, Debi (Mike) Booth, Marie (Allan) Koetz, Holly (Lee) Draper, Stephen (Valery) Pincombe, and 1 child from his second marriage to Cecil DeLaMatter; Melissa Morgan, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruth Pincombe, by his wife of 31 years Cecil Pincombe, his brother Donald Pincombe and sister Alice Bauer.
Services will be private for the family. Interment will take place at Banner Cemetery in Neosho, MO.
