Obituary of Glenn Thomas Pohlman

Glenn Thomas Pohlman, 58, of Winthrop Harbor passed away suddenly on May 3, 2016 at home. Glenn was born September 10, 1957 in College Corner, Ohio, and graduated from Waukegan High School in 1975. Glenn married Sherllyn Greenfield in 1985 at Wesley Church in Zion. He worked for the News Sun for 19 years and then for NOSCO for 20 years. Glenn was a member of the H.D. Buddies and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle as well as all numerous friends he made along the way. Glenn cherished his daughter, Kirstillyn, and was involved in everything she did. Glenn is survived by his wife Sherllyn; daughter Kirstillyn Pohlman of Winthrop Harbor; brother Kenneth Pohlman of South Bend, IN; sister Cynthia (Ronald) Langenbach of Beaver Dam, WI; step-brother James Woodie; step-sister Tammara Barhite; nieces and nephews, Keith Cartwright, Monica Pohlman, Jacqellyn Cartwright, Ben Langenbach, Clarissa Langenbach, Jessica Diaz, and Nelly Diaz; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father George T. Woodie; mother Lois Pohlman; sister-in-law Joellyn Pohlman; nephew Clint Cartwright; and niece Cynthia Pohlman. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
