They say it's better late than never. I had the priviledge of living down by the lake and Visiting Jane and spending time with her daughter Laura. As kids I remember going to their house on many occasions for a refreshing popsicle with my brother& sisters and other kids that lived by the lake, My parents were regular patrons os Zippys and as a kid we really looked forward to that. I said one day I will work for Zippys and that dream came true at age 14. Art & Jane were always very nice to me and we would recall times living down by the lake during idle times. I do remember Tommy driving down Burnett street in his cool car. I think it was a convertible but not sure and hanging around Laura. Those are all good memories. I am the redhead Dean, remember. I really wanted to see your mother when she was in the nursing home however with my own afflictions it was not possible. I was happy to read a number of old employees had a small reunion there with Jane at the nursing home. See you again one day in heaven,

I just happened to read the obituary for Cousin Jane. My Mom, Elizabeth (Bette) & Aunt
Constance (Connie) were your Mom's first cousins. Their father was Peter, Uncle
Tony's brother.
I had spoken to Jane throughout the years when my Mom was ill. She enjoyed reminiscing about spending time with Bette & Connie.
I am so sorry for your loss. She was a lovely lady.

I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person and I loved her dearly.
She had many gifts and she shared them, especially always making me feel at home and part of the family. You can be certain I would have been at the services if I had known, I just found out about it today.
Living well into your 90's is more than most people can hope for. Although you have scattered (that is so cool) I hope she got to see lots of you and her grandchildren. I know “Mrs. Zippy” must have adored them.
I hope it comforts you to think of your parents reunited. Now your Dad will have something to do besides cheating at pool. My kindest regards to you all.
Laura, my phone number has not changed in 30 years, it’s in the book, and you now have my email.

I enjoyed visiting Jane at Rolling Hills. We had great conversations. I am the one that played music for her (the Hammered dulcimer). I also visited often with my therapy dog, Cassie. Jane loved seeing Cassie and hearing the music.
I was hoping to come to the Memorial for Jane. However, a dear friend recently passed away and her memorial service is out of town on the same day as Jane's. Unfortunately I can't make both.
Know that I miss Jane a lot. She was a good friend and someone that I will always remember.

I was blessed to have had Art and Jane as my first employers. Loved Zippy's and all of our Zippy family. Recently we had a little surprise reunion for Jane and were able to see this sweet lady one more time. She loved it and we certainly did also. Heaven gained an angel and now she's dancing with Art in a better place. We will miss her dearly.
