Obituary of Barbara Roediger

Barbara "Babs" Roediger, 69, of Zion, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at home. Barb was born April 25, 1942, in Chicago, IL, to Carl and Mary Reinoehl. She was a graduate of the College of Lake County and was employed as a pre-school teacher. Barb was a member of New Hope Church in Kenosha, WI. She loved the Lord and her church. She was deeply loved by her family and friends; she will be greatly missed but will live on in our memories. Barb got through life with a wonderful sense of humor. We will cherish the life lessons that she passed on to us as she was a teacher at heart. She also enjoyed crocheting, watching movies and making cards for every occasion for her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Carolyn Roediger of Zion, Tina (Thomas) Cartwright of Beach Park, Ken (Cindy) Roediger of Palmer, AK, and Tim Roediger of Salem, WI; grandchildren, David (Melissa) Roediger, Diana Roediger, and Patricia Cartwright; great-grandson, Josiah Roediger; brothers, Carl Reinoehl of Ketchum, ID and Bruce (Carol) Reinoehl of Evergreen, CO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ian Adams; and grandson, Michael Patrick Cartwright. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. at New Hope Church, 6127 Green Bay Rd., Suite 101, Kenosha, WI. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
