Obituary of Aaron M. Hopkins

Aaron M. Hopkins, 80, of Zion, IL, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Aaron was born August 26, 1935, in Truman, Arkansas. He worked for American Motors in Kenosha for a short time and was retired from Avon Corporation in Morton Grove where he had been employed as a chemist. Aaron was a member of Anchor & Ark Masonic Lodge #1027 in Waukegan and a former member of the Zion Moose. He was an avid car enthusiast. Survivors include his children, Roy (Donna) Post of Clarksburg, W. VA., Debbie (J.W.) Harris of New Site, MS, Monica (Robert) Weaver of Beach Park, IL, Steve Hopkins of New Site, MS, Keith (Brenda) Hopkins of Trevor, WI, and Diana (Richard) Ianson of Zion, IL. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and sister, Johnnie Krahn of Sarasota, FL. A Masonic Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan. Zion, IL. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
