Obituary of Ruth Peratt

Ruth Ellen Peratt entered eternal life on August 10, 2012. Born on February 8, 1923, Ruth led an audacious life in the city of Chicago, Illinois. She married John W. Peratt and gave birth to her only son, Michael Peratt, who will cherish her memory. She later divorced and spent 7 years embracing the culture and the beauty of the Hawiaan Islands . After returning to Chicago, she eventually settled in Waukegan, Illinois. Although proper and reserved, Ruth welcomed change and diversity. Ruth was a woman of superior intellect with a thirst for literature and a love for puzzles. In her later years, Ruth befriended many in the Zion community and spent endless hours playing dominos, cards, and attending various theatrical productions; she will be dearly missed by her companions. Her memory will always be honored by her beloved son and daughter in-law, Michael (Carol) Peratt, granddaughters, Andrea (Tom) and Katie, and her adored great-grandson, Thomas Michael. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.
