Obituary of Phil Theel

Phil Theel, 36, of Zion, IL died on December 28, 2015 at his home. Phil was born December 29, 1978 in Portsmouth, VA. He graduated from Zion Benton Township High School. He married Christina Zanghi on August 4, 2006. He was a member of BSA Troop 63, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, and was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, boating, music, and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Christina; children Philip and Benjamin Theel; parents, Craig and Linda Jones; siblings, Brian Theel, Scott Theel, and Jacob Jones; brother-in-law, Fred Zanghi; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Butch and April Krause. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:30 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, and again on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
