Obituary of Anna Louise Serdar Lehman

Anna Louise Serdar Lehman (nee Kerttu), 74, of Winthrop Harbor, IL died on December 17, 2015 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL. Anna was born November 1, 1941 and was raised in Baltic, MI. She was married to Frank Serdar until his death in 1978, then married Arthur Lehman on October 14, 1989 in Waukegan. Anna retired from Cherry Electric after 26 years, and was a member of the Zion-Benton Women of the Moose. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Lehman; children, David (Laurie) Serdar of Winthrop Harbor, IL, James Serdar of Zion, IL, and Kristen (Kevin Yarbrough) Serdar of Zion, IL; six grandchildren, Sarah and Stacie Serdar, Kayla, Kyle, Kiara and Kaden Yarbrough; siblings, Larry, Eric (Judy), Bob (Julie), Chuck (Sue), and Bruce (Wanda) Kerttu, all from the U.P.; faithful companion, Ginger; and other extended family. Anna was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Serdar; and parents, Eric and Olga Kerttu. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. Memorial donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated.
