Obituary of Vicente G. Gargantos

Vicente G. Gargantos, 74, of Zion, IL, formerly of Waukegan, died on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL. Vicente was born March 14, 1941, in Iloilo, Philippines, and graduated from San Agustin University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He married Fe Dimatulac in June of 2000 in the Philippines. Vicente was formerly employed by Solo Cup, ALRA Laboratories, and the Lake Park Center. He was a loving husband and family man. Vicente was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Dismas Church in Waukegan. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Fe; daughter, Vanessa Joy Gargantos of Chicago, IL; sons, Vincent Gargantos of Zion, and Vince Gargantos of the Philippines; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; cousin, Angelina (John) Butler of Zion; and many nieces and nephews and other family. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
