Obituary of Edward B. Barron
Edward B. Barron, 89, went home to be with his Lord, after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Zion.
He was born in Gary, IN December 10, 1925. He grew up on the south side of Chicago playing baseball with many teams. That is when he met his future wife Ruby “Mickey” Clark. They were married March 26, 1946. Ed worked for A&R Oxygen and Welding Company in Chicago and Alsip. They moved to Lilac Ledge in 1995 where he made many friends and memories. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and in later years bingo. He cheered on the White Sox but his heart belonged to his Norte Dame football team.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Ruby; infant daughter Susan Lynn; parents Harry and Elizabeth Barron; sister Shirley Crawley; and brother Eldon Barron.
He leaves behind his daughter Linda (David) Williams; his son Edward (Penny) Barron; five grandchildren John McGuire, Heather (John) McGuire, Michael (Jamie) McGuire, Aiko Barron and Ayme (Jeremiah) Gordon; and eight great-grandchildren. Our hearts are heavy for our loss. He will be greatly missed.
