It just doesn't seem possible that you left us all a year ago already! You are missed so much - even though we didn't see you often, you were always there and our friendship and conversations could pick up where we left off. You touched many lives, Carolee, and will always be greatly missed.

We just found out about Carolee's passing. Carolee was a sweet, generous woman who always had a hug ready for anyone. We worked at Rynish Bowling Center where she ran the Saturday morning junior league and she has touched many lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our deepest Condolences to Rich, Karen, and Steve. We where saddened to her of Carolee's passing. We had lost touch over the many years of knowing all of you. But we always new of one place we would see her and Rich and could get caught up on all the latest news, which was the Labor Day Parade in Zion. They were always in the same spot on Sheridan Road. And once we found her and Rich, that instant connection was made with hugs and laughter. And it was like we had seen each other just a little while ago. Because that was the type of person she was, time was not an issue if you were truely a friend and cared about her. We will not forget the time spent with her and her family all those years at Rynish bowling and the stories and laughter. This Lady was very special in many ways,She was a loving Wife to Rich and a loving caring Mother to Karen and Steve, and a proud Nanna to her grandchildren . And among these special people to her where the thousands of childrens lives she touched in all different ways and levels, they will miss her also. Thank-You to Rich, Karen and Steve for sharing this special person with our faimly. We will miss you Carolee, rest in peace.

Rich, Karen and Steve, I was shocked when I received the phone call. The most lasting impression of Carolee was her always outgoing personality. She had so much love and friendship to give to all that you always felt like you were a part of her life. If at anytime there was a child or parent at the Bowling Center that needed a lift she was the first in line to provide help and give a big hug. Now she is not passed but only moved to a better place where there is no pain or sickness. Just remember that someday we will all see her again and I guarantee that Carolee will be the fist in line to welcome us into our new place and give us a big hug. My prayers are with you all.

Rich, Steve, Heather, Jackson, Colin, Karen, Emily, Nate & Luke, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Carolee was such a special lady to so many people and she always knew just what to say. The world will be a sadder place without her. She reached out to so many and never expected anything in return. As the days pass please know I am here for each and every one of you. I love you all so very much!

Rich, Karen, and Steve-I can not believe that Carolee is gone, Her passion for all the kids that she watched grow up at Rynish is never going to be forgotten by them-or by us, the ones that were lucky enough to call her friend. Whether you were a kid or an adult, when you needed a hug, she was ALWAYS there to give it. There is a great big vacant spot in the world today: and in my heart. God bless you and give you peace.

I first met Carolee in 1982 when Dick got stationed at Great Lakes. One of the first things we did after getting settled in was to check out the Rynish Bowling Center. That is where I met Carolee. Then in the middle 80's I was hired by Flip Flaminio to run the daytime control counter. Carolee and I became immediate friends and as the days grew we became like sisters, able to confide in each other. Our friendship grew and we all became close. Dick retired from the Navy in 1990 and we stayed in the Waukegan area until 2004 when we moved back to our home area in northern Iowa. The last time we all got together was at Flip & Pat's home with Rich and Carolee for a Saturday night dinner before we moved. We played games and shared memories about the really "Good Ol' Days" at Rynish. The last time I talked with her was this past July. She and Rich went to Shirl's Drive in on Sheridan Road in Kenosha one evening and she knew that our son James was the manager there. Our son called us and said there was someone here that wanted to talk with us. It was a very nice and treasured conversation. Carolee, you were and always will be a loving and caring Lady. Heaven is now Blessed with a Special Angel to watch over us all. We were honored to have called Carolee a dear friend. God Bless Rich and the whole Lester family. With Love, Rosie and Dick

I was so sorry to hear about Carolee. What a wonderful and genuine person she was! She was such a good friend to my dad and mom(Flip and Pat) whom I know will miss her dearly. The last time I saw Carolee and Rich was at my dad's 70th surprise birthday celebration and that was almost 10 years ago. You both were a big part of our "Flaminio" family and we will always treasure those times of laughing and carrying on....it's what we all do best! I also know that Carolee was a big part of my brother Jason's life when he needed her, she just had that motherly instinct about her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time but know that your mom (wife) was one of those people who lived life to the fullest, always had a smile on her face and cared for those who needed her the most. She will truly be missed.

Life without Carolee will never be the same. We didn't see Carolee very often these past few years but that didn't matter - when we did, it was like we just saw each other yesterday. We picked up where we left off and always, ALWAYS, Carolee laughed and told her stories about her family and wanted to know about ours. Our talks would eventually get around to "the good old days at Rynish" and all the fun (and lots of work too) that took place. Junior bowling was successful because of all her hard work and the kids loved her! Our whole family just loved her (and Rich) and always enjoyed it when we could all be together. She was a one-of-a kind, special lady and she will be remembered forever with love and gratitude.

Carolee what is there to say I have known you almost all my life. I was the little girl that lived across the street that you and Rich always looked out for. I can't believe your gone. I remember all the talks we had and all the things shared. You were like a second mom to me. Rich, Steve, and family please except my deepest sympathy for your loss. She was a one and a million and she was so blessed in life to have a wonderful loving husband, and Steve she was so proud of you and she always shared that. You were all so loved by her and she will forever be looking over you. Love You All, please take care, I will keep you all in my prayers.

I was both shocked and very saddened to hear of Carolee's passing. Carolee made an enormous impact on me and my Son Matthew through bowling. The great thing that we had in common was our love and dedication to animals through our volunteer work. Carolee you are truly loved by many. Rest in peace my dear friend until we meet again.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news of Carolee's passing yesterday. Carolee was a strong female influence, and definitely an amazing role model for me all through my teenage years and early 20's. It's been many years since I've seen or talked to Carolee, but ironically, in the last few weeks I've thought about her often while I worked on my cross-stitch projects...the same hobby that she got me into when I was just 12 y/o. I can only imagine how she continued to support and love her family, friends and all those that crossed her path since I saw her last. We were all blessed to have had Carolee in our lives. There are so many things she has said to me that has had lasting impact, but I will never EVER forget what she used to say to all us Great Lakes Junior Bowlers every Saturday after shadow bowling was complete....."Head 'em up, and Move 'em out. Good Luck and Good Bowling!" To Rich, Steve, Karen and the rest of the family...my condolences, love, prayers and support are with you all. Carolee...I will love you forever!
