Obituary of Mary Plowman
In loving memory of Mary Plowman who peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2012. She was born on April 3, 1919 to John and Rosa Gentile in Hurley, WI. Mary married Harold Plowman and had two children John and Rosalie. After their union they moved to North Chicago and eventually moved to Zion where they raised their family. She worked at the Plantation Company for 10 years and was a homemaker. Her door was always open for family and friends. She had a kind, loving and encouraging spirit and was always there to listen. Mary loved the Lord and served him daily by the life she lived and prayed for all. We will miss her but we are so thankful to have been blessed by her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents John and Rosa, her husband Harold, sister Ann and brother Tony. She is survived by her son John (Tammy) Plowman, daughter Rosalie (John) Chrisman, niece Patricia (Ron) Foeltz, nephews Robert (Vickie) Hakala and James Hakala, grandchildren Stacy and Katie Plowman, Anthony (Haydee) Baillie, Andy (Nikki) Baillie, Jamie (Karen) Baillie, Brandon (Megan) Baillie, Mike, Brenda, Cathy, Gail and many great-grandchildren, great nieces and nephews. She will live on in our hearts forever.
A celebration of her life is being held on July 21, 2012 at Our Lady of Humility Church, Beach Park, at 11:00am with visitation preceding the service at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation to Camp Zion or Assistance in Healthcare at CTCA is suggested.
