I just learned of Mike's death via the BH alumni news. I am so very sorry. Mike and I were friends in college and lost touch after he graduated. I have thought of him often over these many years. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

To Mike:
"From the Black Hills to the White Hills" - you were my second dad, you always had open arms and an open heart to me and everyone that enter your life. I will never forget that infectious smile and southern drawl. And I'll never ever forget your amazing french toast! You'll always be in my heart and fond memories.

Don and I extend Mike's family our heartfelt condolences. We knew Mike for almost 36 years. He was, as so many have said, "one of a kind". What he did for CTCA in the early years as an accountant to his later years as he took on the construction projects and built the hospitals all over the country is an amazing legacy. He will be missed by many but his legacy will live on in the bricks and mortar at CTCA. His spirit will always be in his beloved cabin and a part of his soul will always be with Denise, his kids, and Doug as he looks down from Heaven. RIP Mike. Don and Nora Orrick

My condoloences and prayers are with Mike's family. Met Mike back in the 70's and so enjoyed being around him. Denise, we met at a few Class of 70's ZBHS reunions and you two were gracious hosts. May your memories and faith help you through this difficult times and bring you comfort forever.

My sincerest condolences to you, Denise, and your children, and grandchildren. I remember driving in the Black Hills in his red Subaru straight up a mountain/hill, scared to death. He was my brother, Mark Ramey's, good friend and I have been to your house years ago and love you both very much. So very sorry to hear this sad news.

There are handful men in my life who have set the bar and expectation of what a real man should represent. Mike White is one of those men. From his work ethic, to his faith he was truly a unique influence on my life. I have been praying for Mike for a very long time, praying for a miracle and healing touch. Sometimes God answers our prayers in ways we do not expect, or even do not want. My heart aches for the Family, because I know he will be missed. But my heart also rejoices in knowing that every morning Mike is drinking coffee with Jesus (In his cowboy boots and jeans). He will be with us always, in the hills of South Dakota, watching the sunrise and set from one of the most incomprehensibly beautiful places, Heaven. I will continue to pray for his wonderful family, knowing that his influence will last a lifetime, and his laugh will be remembered forever.

Doug,
So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was one of my hero's in life. I will never forget all that he did for me back in the Oak Room Grill days. He was a great guy and will be missed by many people. Barb Albert (my mother in law) always called him her son and loved him like her own. He was a great guy and I know how proud you are to be his forever Bro!!!

As remorseful as Deb and I feel we can’t imagine how Mike’s going home has affected you the immediate family. We prayed every day and truly thought we would witness a miracle. Mike was a true friend we will never forget. We love you guys and are praying for you all. Keep the faith; maybe the miracle is how spiritual we have all become and the sensation of tranquility we have knowing we will see Mike again.
Love,
Chuck & Deb
