Obituary of Naomi Ruth Peacy

Naomi Ruth Peacy (Bishop) of Zion, IL joined our Lord on July 29, 2015. She was born December 30, 1921 and was 93 years old when she passed away in her sleep at the Victory Lakes Nursing Home in Lindenhurst. She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford H. Peacy. Survivors include a daughter, Barb Ehle (husband Dan) and a son, Larry Peacy (wife Corinne). On her daughter’s side there are four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren including Cliff Pontillo (wife Margaret), Daniel Pontillo (wife Jennifer and son Luke), Trevor Pontillo, Phil Pontillo (wife Josie), Zachary Pontillo, Grace Pontillo (son Jayse), Brad Pontillo (wife Chris), Kaitlyn Powell (husband Joe), Alyssa Pontillo, Emily Graham (son Noah Walker and daughter Addyson Graham). On her son’s side there are three grandchildren including Erin Peacy, Kyle Peacy (wife Aly), and Meagan Wilfong (husband Brent). She loved to play the organ, garden, spend time “up north”, be with family and friends, dance with the “Ridge Boys”, spoil the grand kids, and played a mean game of PlayStation Bowling. Her will to live was strong until the end. Naomi will be laid to rest next to her husband Clifford at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Zion. Family Services have not yet been finalized. She lived a long life devoted to her family. She will be missed.
