Obituary of Patricia Bubb Henrikson

Patricia Ann Bubb Henrikson, affectionately called Pat, died at 75 from a stroke in her home on June 15, 2015, Beach Park IL. Pat was born on March 8, 1940 in Waukegan to, Joseph and Mary Bubb. She graduated from Lake Forest High School,1958 went on to MacMurray College with a BA in English Literature, 1962, a MA in Theological Studies from Northwestern University (Garrett), 1968 and a MAT in Education from Northwestern University, 1971. Pat spent her childhood in Lake Bluff, IL, but adventure drew her many places in Illinois and Camden NJ, settling in Beach Park IL. Pat was a teacher with a passion for literacy and theology. She taught many places though out her life including; Senn High School, Chicago, Camden High School, Camden NJ, Carman School, Waukegan, Holy Rosary School, Kenosha WI, Northwood Junior High School, Highland Park, Oakdale School, Waukegan. She was Christian Education Director at Shore Center in Evanston and used her knowledge at Cokesbury Bookstore, Park Ridge. She volunteered with Planned Parenthood Lake Bluff/Lake Forest Chapter, Waukegan and was a Church School teacher at Grace United Methodist Church, Lake Bluff. In her later years she worked for the Jewel-Osco in Zion, IL. Pat is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Paul Giannetto of Northbrook, IL; her nieces, Denisa Incrocci and Paula Kolar; and six grandnieces/nephews, Ashley Thomas, Paul and Marielle Siebert, Brandon and Alyssa Incrocci, and Allyson Kolar. A Memorial Visitation will be held July 9, 2015, from 3:00-6:00 pm at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion IL 60099. Burial is private. All are welcome to celebrate Pat's life and passion to help people.
