Obituary of Robert Francis Raiden

Robert Francis “Bob” Raiden, 90, of Zion, IL died peacefully May 29, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born November 19, 1924 in Waukegan, IL. He served with the United States Navy during WWII and was a life member of the Waukegan VFW Post 1293. Robert was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park, IL. He is survived by Mary Ann Raiden; five children Suzanne, Ginny (Brett), Patti (Phil), Barb, and John; seven grandchildren Peggy (Casey), Philip, Ryan, Mike, Suzie (Michelle), Tiffany, and Colin; one great-granddaughter Charley Grace; and one sister Virginia. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Francis Earl and Helen Raiden. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 4:30 until 8:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park, IL. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
