Obituary of Charlotte Hughes

Charlotte Hughes, age 65, a resident of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015. She was born in Sledge, Mississippi to Adella and Rufus Brown. She was a mother to Henry Allen (Delsy) Hughes III and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Talya and “Little” Henry. She is survived by her sisters, Thelma Brown, Esther (Arvin) Drake, Lena Stewart and Donna Monk; her brothers, Rufus (Cindy), Marty and Ralph (Vicky) Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adella and Rufus Brown; her brothers, Jimmy and Albert Brown; and her sister Grace Fagan. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
