Obituary of Roy W. Adams

Roy W. Adams, 65, of Winthrop Harbor, IL died March 5, 2015 in Glenview, IL. He was born January 29, 1950 in Waukegan, IL. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, darts, and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. His favorite times were spent traveling to Alabama with his family. “Roll Tide” Survivors include his wife, Syndie (nee Shirley); daughters, Tara (John Baldwin) Adams, Candice Adams, and Crystal (Kenny) Lupi; stepsons, SSgt. Scott, Charles, and David (Kiley) Johnson; grandchildren, Kaysey Adams, Kody Anderson, Braydin Lupi, Bella Adams, Ryin Lupi, and Jase Baldwin, Dylana Elrod, Hana Johnson, Dakota Johnson, and Alexis Johnson; and siblings, Paula (David) White, Kevin (Myrna) Adams, Nona Adams, and Sammy (Trina) Adams. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Lola and William Adams; and father-in-law, Sonny Shirley. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Winthrop Harbor VFW Post 7448, 1112 Sheridan Road, Winthrop Harbor, IL.
