Obituary of Carolyn M. Hassett

Carolyn M. “Nana” Hassett, 67, of Zion, IL, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at home. Carolyn was born October 19, 1947, in Waukegan, IL, and was a member of Trinity Christian Center in Zion. She retired as an employee of the Great Lakes Naval Base. Carolyn was a talented and creative woman who enjoyed music and arranging flowers. Survivors include daughter, Marlea Foster of Zion, IL; sons, Antonio (Monica) Heredia of New Mexico and Esteban Heredia of Burlington, WI; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Ken Hassett of Zion, IL; sister LeeAnn Hassett of Zion, IL; niece, Wendy Besterling of PA; and a grand-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Viola Hassett. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m at Trinity Christian Center, 2600 Lewis Ave., Zion, IL, with Pastor Tim Eddy, officiating, Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
