I want to give my condolences to the Ison Family. Chief Petty Officer Ison was my first Chief that I work for in the Navy onboard the USS Elliott (DD-967). I always think of him all the time.

I was very sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. He was my elementary school classmate in Ontonagon MI. I haven't seen him since he moved to Iron River, but I remember him as a fun and likeable kid. Wish he had attended one of our reunions so we could have gotten to know him as an adult. Sounds as if he did well and had an interesting life.
