Obituary of Ralph R. Franson Sr.

Ralph R. Franson Sr., 65, of Beach Park, IL died February 1, 2015 at home. He was born April 18, 1949 in Ishpeming, Michigan. Ralph left Michigan in 1967 and moved to Waukegan, IL, where he married Lillian Rose on July 9, 1971. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and granddaughter. Ralph is survived by his children, Barbara Jean Smock of FL, Ralph (Jennifer) Franson of VA, and Julie Franson of IL; grandchildren, Samantha, Anthony, Cassandra, Rebecca, Joshua, Alexander, Marissa, Maximus, and Raven; siblings, Marilyn (Richard) Millmiki, Sue Johnson, Jean Topliff, Jerry Franson, and Steve (Vickie) Contois; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Rose Franson; parents, Rudolph E. and Betty Ann (nee Fredin) Franson, and brother, Paul Franson. Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
