I was a classmate of Jim's at Washington High School. Senior year he was seated next to me in a class and he was nice to me. I remember at high school graduation, he wore is sailor suit to the ceremony and some people whistling that old Village People tune, "In The Navy." My condolences go out to his family and friends. May Jim rest in peace.

I first met JD with my husband Paul at Friendlys. He had just gotten his new side covers - The Fouled Anchor & the Polish Eagle. He was a proud person. His time in the Navy, being Polish, his biker family but most importantly his wife and children. A big man with an even bigger heart and a most wonderful laugh. My heart goes out first to Jan and the kids, then to all who knew JD and will miss him.

My wife and I are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of such a great man. He was my supervisor, mentor and friend while in VFA-151 onboard the USS Midway. He was inspirational in my decision to stay in the Navy as well as getting married by giving me martial advice which has worked for 24 years. Fair winds and following seas Shipmate and Bother.
