Obituary of Robert Krause

Robert S. "Rob" Krause, 33, of Springfield, IL, formally of Winthrop Harbor, IL, was received into his eternal home on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Rob was born July 22, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and graduated from ZBTHS in 1996.He was a member of OLH in Beach Park, IL. Rob served with the United States Marines as a Lance Corporal. He achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at age 11. His main enjoyment was cooking, fishing, and writing poems. He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancé, Bri Coons of Springfield, IL; children, Robert S. Krause Jr., and Nevaeh Krause; mother, Minnie (Mark) Rakher of Winthrop Harbor, IL; father, Robert (Babbet) Krause of Zion, IL; sister, Michele (Scott) Niemi of Springfield, IL; brother, Vince (Bianca) Krause (serving in the U.S. Army); sister, Lindsey Krause of Zion, IL; brothers, Matthew (Caitlin) Rakher of Switzerland, Ryan Rakher of Crystal Lake, IL ,and Ben (Mandy) Rakher of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Tara DelGiudice of Zion, IL; grandparents, David and Barbara Duenos of Christopher, IL; grandmother, Eduvijes De La Fuente of San Benito, TX; great-grandmother, Oretha Gates of Crystal Falls, MI; and several nieces , nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, and again on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd. Beach Park, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
