Obituary of Ruth Wagner

Ruth N. Wagner, 86, of Zion, went to be with her loved ones in heaven on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion. Ruth was born December 21, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA, and worked for Strawbridge Clothier and made war parts in that same town. She also worked at Warwick Electronics for 23 years in Zion, Ruth's passion included knitting, crocheting, and sewing her own clothes. She was also a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Commandress of Ladies Auxiliary Waukegan Commandry #12 Knight Templar. Ruth was a member of Christ Community Church in Zion. Survivors include her 2 children, Harry C. (Karen) Wagner and Trudy L. (Dennis)Evans; 3 grandchildren, Troy Evans, Kevin Evans, and Kristin Wagner; and 3 brothers, Charles, William, and Norman, all living in the Philadelphia, PA, area. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Harry F. Wagner on February 8, 1993, after 48 happy years of marriage; her parents, Edna and Charles; and two sisters, Edna and Marie. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
