Obituary of Murl Taylor

Murl Wayne 61, of Zion, Illinois, passed away July 28, 2011. Murl was a resident of Carmel House. Though his health had been compromised in these last years, Murl never lost his penchant for life and people. He always had a smile on his face and a talent for friendly conversation for anyone that crossed his path. Murl was in the drywall business until he lost his leg due to complications from heart disease and diabetes. He is survived by his three sons, Rodney (Paula) Taylor, Scott (Shannon) Taylor and Rick (Heather) Taylor. Murl was one of nine siblings. Surviving him are James (Mary) Taylor of Wadsworth, IL, Polly Creekmore of Beach Park, IL, Dot (David) Dickerson of Mooreville, Mississippi and Larry Taylor of Tupelo, Mississippi, 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his many friends at Carmel House in Zion, IL. Murl was preceded in death by his oldest son, Daryl Taylor, his parents Eddie Clovis Taylor and Velma Exie Taylor of Mooreville, Mississippi, brothers Cortez Taylor of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, Willard Taylor of Tupelo, Mississippi and Carlton Taylor of Kenosha, Wisconsin and sister Nell Jones of Florida. Services will be private.
