Obituary of Susanna Freeman

Susanna A. Ramos Freeman, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2011 while residing at the Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan, IL. Susanna was born May 11, 1935 in Waukegan and remained a life long resident. Susanna enjoyed a rewarding career as a nurse and later on in life enjoyed sewing and making pillows. She was affectionately known as the "Pillow Lady". She was preceded in death by her mother Johanna Grana in September, 1999; sister Geraldine Grana in October, 2008; and her first husband and the father of her children Juan Ramos in January, 2008. She is survived by three daughters, Betsy Wesser of Ellsworth, WI, Mary (David) Martinucci of Birchwood, MN, and Juanita Gregory of Round Lake, IL; four sons, Jim (Sheri) of Beach Park, IL, John (Tammie) Ramos of Beach Park, IL, Joe Ramos of Waukegan, IL, and Richard Ramos of Waukegan, IL; fifteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2011, beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., all at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
