Obituary of Sandra Robertson

Sandra L. Rboertson Of Zion, Illinois passed away Sunday July 17, 2011 at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Born in Grady County, Georgia on March 22, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Roland and Wessie (Spencer) Aikens. She graduated from New Stanton high school, Jacksonville FL and attended college at Walker Business College, Jacksonville, FL. She married Adam Robertson January 1966 in Jacksonville Florida. She was employed for many years at Baxter Healthcare in Deerfield, IL. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church, Wadsworth, IL. She was preceded in death by, her parents; brother Clayton Aikens, and sister Armeter "Tina" Duncan. Sandra leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband Adam, daughter Melody, son Adam Robertson Jr., two grand children, Sarah and Mariah Robertson, one great nephew, Christen Duncan, and one special nephew Gray Duncan. all of Zion, IL. four sisters Bertha Fortune, Barbara May of Jacksonville, FL, Delorese "Dee" (Robert) Collier of Zion, II, Janice Taylor of Los Angles, CA., three brothers, Roland (Gail) Akins of Hiram, GA, Adolph Aikens of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Aikens of Zion, IL, and Felton Aikens of Columbus, GA, brother-in-laws Albert (Ida) Willis of Baton Rouge, LA, Hosea Robertson of Lynn, MA, and John Robertson of Grosso Tote, LA, sister-in-laws Ora Bell Johnson of Grosse Tote LA, and Nellie Boyd of St.Louis, MO, and host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. A special "thank you" to the entire staff at Seasons Hospice of Chicago, IL, who provided Sandra with special loving care. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2:00pm at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, with Father Charles of Our Lady of Humility Church officiating. Interment will be held private.
