Obituary of David Millard

Dave E. Millard, 60, of Beach Park, IL died on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Dave was born July 12, 1950 in Zion and lived in Waukegan most of his life. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam conflict era having served with the United States Army. Dave was an avid bowler, golfer, gardner, was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, Chicago Bears fan, and he enjoyed NASCAR, but most of all he loved his six grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Donna; children, Debbie (Jerry) Marshall of Beach Park, IL, Dave (Vicki) Millard of Zion, IL, and Dianna (Shawn) Laurent of Berwyn, IL; six grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter, and Colton Marshall, Rose and Lianna Millard, and Aiden Laurent; his mother, Beverly Millard of Beach Park, IL; and one brother, Dean (Debbie) Millard of Lakewood, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur; and by his maternal and paternal grandparents. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the family has been suggested.
