I will surely miss my good friend Jim Raper. I was always blessed to have a few friends in Zion that were much older and kind to me - Jim was one of those guys. He was always giving, never asked for anything in return. My condolences to the family.

There are so many memories of Jim for both myself and my family. I can't ever remember a time when he was angry or without a smile on his face. I feel so special to have known this man. I know he will be missed by many but especially his family. You are all in out thoughts and prayers.

May the Lord be with the Mrs. Raper and family during this time of Loss, Jim was a fine man with a kind heart - my Daddy Voyd Ewing thought alot of him and I remember him growing up and going to the Gas Station - every day. He was a true American man and what America stands for. He will be greatly missed but always in my memories. Stacey Ewing - Red Bay, Alabama

Mom, this has been a very hard road for both you and Dad. He fought the brave fight up to the very last when he realized that it was not a battle he could not win. He approached the end only as he would, with dignity and concern for you and the family, a hall mark of who Jim was. I am fortunate to have had him in my life for so many years. He offered TRUE unconditional love to me, never judging or being judgmental. He was a very special man. He left this world to be in a better place but, his mark, will be for ever on all of us who had the privilege and pleasure to know and love him. The people of St. Luke's always have fond remembrances of James and Jane Bradford sends her warmest love to you in your 'yellow' shorts. LOL.
