I met Bill around 1973 while working at Signode. At first Bill scarred the crap out of me and it didn't take long to realize this man had every attribute I admired and I strived to bring them in my life. He was strong, smart and most of ll with the southern humor, funny. I wish I could repeat some of my favorite jokes but I'm sure there are lady's present. Over the years I learned his gruff exterior had a very soft heart underneath. He was sweet, helpful, kind and nurturing. I worked and golfed with Bill and I loved him. I will miss him deeply but will always have the values he taught me. Best of luck to the family. Evelyn, Mary, etc and you were very lucky to have him. Patrick Hammer
