Obituary of H. Brian Matson

H. Brian Matson, 62, of Waukegan, IL died on Saturday, March 26. 2011 at his home. He was born July 12, 1948 in Waukegan. Brian was the former owner of Waukegan Coin and Supply. He was also an avid golfer, bowler, pool player, cribbage player and was a Chicago Blackhawks fan and a Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his mother, Florence Matson of Beach Park, IL; one sister, Susan (David) Johansen of Hartland, WI; one brother, John Matson of Beach Park, IL; nieces and nephews, Brenda Johansen, Alan (fiancé Laurie Malysiak) Johansen, and Melicia (Brad) Jones; and five great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Matson. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 122 N. Martin Luther King Ave., Waukegan, with Pastor David Eikenberry officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at the church.
