Obituary of Gladys Boyce

Gladys J. Boyce (nee Chapin), 74, of Beach Park, IL, died on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan. Gladys was born September 29, 1936 in Hardwick, MN and came to Zion in 1946. She was a long time member of Beach Bible Church of Zion where she taught Sunday School, was a leader in AWANA, had served as church secretary and was always involved in preparing and serving food for various church activities. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening. Survivors include her children, Kenneth D. (Joan) Boyce and Daniel L. (Jill) Boyce, both of Beach Park, IL, and Susan K. Boyce of Branson West, MO; seven grandchildren, Rian (Bill) Bogdala, Justin (Stefanie) Boyce, Kalie (Robert) Printz, Chad Boyce, Tanner Boyce, Tyler Boyce, and Lucas Boyce; three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Brooklyn, and Lucy; and one brother, Gerald (Marilyn) Chapin of Medina, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron; one infant daughter, Cheryl; two sisters, Beverly Johnson and Dorothy Bishop; and her father and mother, Gerald and Anna Chapin. Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2011, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Beach Bible Church, 3520 21st Street, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 18th, at 10:00 a.m., at Beach Bible Church. Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery, Beach Park, IL.
