Obituary of Lucille Martin

Lucille Martin, age 90, made her heavenly transition on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL. Lucille was born on May 23, 1920 in Jackson, Louisiana. She was a founder and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for 34 years. She was also a founder and member of Christian Love Baptist Church for 15 years. Lucille leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Dan (Kay) Martin of Zion, IL and Joseph (Faye) Martin Jr. of Louisiana; two daughters, Diane (Sanford) Charity of Ohio and Annie Mae Finley of Zion, IL; one sister, Annette (James) Marshall of Waukegan, IL; one nephew, George (Ruthie) Carter of Waukegan, IL; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins and friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Martin Sr.; one daughter, Delores Bond; a sister, Isabelle Cage; two grandchildren, Keith Martin and Ferrell Bond; and one great-grandchild, MaNeira Bond. Visitation will be held at Ebenezer M. B. Church, 3109 Gilead Ave., Zion, IL, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with home-going celebrations starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago.
