Obituary of Charlotte Pieniazek

Pieniazek, Charlotte Ann Age 78, of Zion, died on Friday, January 14, 2011, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Charlotte was born August 10, 1932, in Lawrence, Indiana, to Fred and Alice Ferger. She married Walter Pieniazek Sr. on September 2, 1950, in Waukegan. Charlotte's employment past included working in the old Zion Cookie Factory and then retirement from Jewel Foods in Zion. Survivors include a son, Walter Pieniazek Jr. of Zion; daughter, Diane (James) Martin of Lancaster, KY; grandchildren, Jaime Pieniazek, Brandon (Julia) Martin and Shauna (Brian) Haske; great-grandchildren, Tegan and Braden Haske; a special nephew, Mark Pieniazek; and her dog, BJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Pieniazek Sr. in July of 2009; her parents; and brothers, William and Fred D. Ferger. Services will be private for the family. Memorial donations to the American Lung Association have been suggested.
