Obituary of John Kunz

John A. Kunz, 73, of IL, died on Friday, December 10, 2010, at Sheridan Medical Complex, Kenosha, WI. John was born August 14, 1937, in Juneau County, WI. He and his late wife, Dean, (married for 45 years) moved back to this area in 2003 after residing and working in Tupelo, Mississippi. John worked for 17 years at Johns-Manville in Waukegan, and then retired as a supervisor from Super Sagless Corporation in Tupelo, MS. Survivors include his godchild, Jenny (Joe) Ohliger of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; family, Reba Gates, Ernest (Wilma) Harris of Vina, Alabama, Thelma (James) Shelton and Billy (Gayle) Harris; and cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Dean in 2008; and his parents, Irma and Roy Kunz. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Craig Winnestrom of Advocate Hospice, officiating. Private interment will be held later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
