Obituary of Walter Schweppe

Schweppe, Walter R. 77, of Gurnee, Illinois, died peacefully in Hospice care at Condell Hospital in Libertyville on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Walter was born January 18, 1933 in Elmhurst, Illinois and moved to Gurnee eight years ago from Villa Park, Illinois. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Dolores; devoted children, Julie (the late Lonn) Shapiro of Waukegan and Rev. David (Lynne) Schweppe of Sterling, Illinois; and dear grandchildren, Jon, Kristen and Jacob Schweppe and Lawrence and Bethany Shapiro. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 5 N. Princeton, Villa Park, Illinois 60181, Pastor Jade Yi and Rev. Brad Davick officiating. Visitation will be at the Church from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Private interment will be held later at Glen Oaks Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois. Memorial donations to American Parkinsons Disease Association, c/o Central Dupage Hospital, 27W 353 Jewell Road, Winfield, IL 60190-1231 have been suggested.
