Obituary of Dorothy Ehle

Dorothy A. (Cwik) Ehle, born in Chicago, August 25, 1922, passed peacefully on November 28, 2010, at Hospitality Nursing In Kenosha, WI. Dorothy was a stay at home mom, raising 4 children, Raymond settled in Missouri, James in Texas, Daniel (Barbara) in Arizona, and Susan (James) Petty in Winthrop Harbor. In the early 1960's she worked at the Zion Hospital and ended her career as Manager of the Richard Able Book Company. In 1980 she and her husband, Mac (Archie) retired to spend years traveling the U.S., and then settled in McAllen, TX. In 2004, they returned to Kenosha, WI; closer to their daughter to help with Mac's care. (advancing Alzheimer's). Having been raised in Chicago, Dorothy loved her home and life on the lake front to raise her family, taking care of all the pets the children brought home as well as feeding the birds. She enjoyed many hobbies, but quilting baby blankets and ornaments will remain filled with her memories. Dorothy is also survived by grandchildren, Andrew, Sean G., Donald (Victoria) Ehle, Lee (Candace) Ehle, Clifford (Margaret), Phillip, Bradley (Christine) Pontillo, Emily (Scott) Graham, Nanette (Jason) Bruch, and Andrew (Amanda) Petty; great-grandchildren, Sean Jeffrey, Donovan Matthew, Kaitlyn Rae, Haley MacLean Ehle, Daniel, Trevor, Katie, Alyssa, Zachery, Grace Pontillo, Jadon, Kadon and Aneliese Bruch, Natalie and Holden Ehle, Noah Walker, and Addison Graham. She was especially proud in 2009 of Nanette, Jason, Jadon, and Kadon, who participated in an Alzheimer's Walk in Baraboo, WI, and Amanda Koch-Perry participated in the Milwaukee, WI, Alzheimer's Walk in honor of Great Grandpa Archie and Grandpa/ Dad Jim Petty. Last but not least by any means as those who knew her well will agree: her beloved Shit Tzu Dolly whom has lived with Sue since 2004, but not to slight any of the other pets who have passed and now reunited with her in that heavenly romping ground. She was preceded in death by her husband Archie MacLean Ehle, her father Anthony Cwik and mother Rosalia Tobianski Cwik, father in law Merritt Whitcomb Ehle and mother-in-law Josephine Courtway Ehle.
