Obituary of Betty Christensen

Betty Christensen Age 86, of Wildwood, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Winchester House, Libertyville, IL. Betty was born September 7, 1924, in Chicago, and was a member of Gages Lake Bible Church. She had a great love of playing the piano. Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Richard) Barrick of Beach Park, IL; sons, Philip Christensen of Grayslake, IL and Paul (Marsha) Christensen of WI; grandchildren, Jason Barrick, Tammie Roe, and Tim McGhee; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jarrett, Samantha, and Riley; sister-in-law, Bernadine Christensen of KS; daughter-in-law, Linda (John) McGhee of FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ed Christensen; daughter, Judith Christensen; son, Tom Christensen; brother, David Breese; sisters, Margie Burgtorf and Mary Reinhold; brother-in-law, Jim Christensen; and father and mother, David and Ruth Breese. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, with Pastor Les Martin of Lakeview Church, Zion, officiating Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
