Obituary of Robert Martinez

Robert Angelo Martinez, age 43, of Waukegan, IL, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on May 26, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on August 21, 1968 and was a graduate of ZBTHS and employed at Jewel in Gurnee, IL. Bobby was a cherished son, loving brother and brother-in-law, beloved uncle, nephew, and cousin, and a devoted friend to many. His love of music, playing guitar, and cooking were the three things he loved the most. He was passionate about sports and a diehard Bears and Cubs fan. Beloved son of Marikay Froman (Lindsay) and the late Angelo "Bob" Martinez. Preceded in death by his sister Laura Stanley. He is survived by his sisters, Joanne Lindsay of Milwaukee, WI, Angela (Neil) Neimero and Georgia (Chuck) Lukens of Orlando, FL; his brothers, Steve (Peggy) Stanley of Beach Park, IL, Rodger Stanley of Hawaii, and John Stanley of Colorado. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2012 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL Followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m, Pastor Jeffrey Koth Officiating.
