Obituary of Martica Foley

Martica G. "Teak" Foley of Gurnee, Illinois, died on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at her home in Gurnee. She was born in New Brighton, Minnesota. On October 8, 1949 she married Patrick H. Foley in Minnesota and moved to Chicago, Illinois following their honeymoon. In her lifetime she had also lived in Downers Grove, Illinois and Bethesda, Maryland before retiring to Gurnee in 1982. She was a member of The Church of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Wadsworth, Illinois. Survivors include two daughters, Katie Foley and Mary (Charles) Ziegele both of Gurnee; and four grandchildren, Diana (Joshua) Smith, Erin (Ryan) Povich, Bryan (Courtney) Aquilino, and Kimberly (Cody) Ash. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick "Harry" Foley in 1987; her father and mother, Thomas and Mary Jaglo; and three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, November 18th, at 9:30 a.m. in the historic Church of St. Patrick Catholic Church, 15000 Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, Illinois. Interment will take place on Saturday, November 20th, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Prescott, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Honor Flight Inc., 300 E Auburn Ave, Springfield, OH 45505 have been suggested.
