Obituary of Roger Oquist

Roger C. Oquist, 66, of Zion, IL, died on Monday, October 18, 2010, at home. Roger was bon, August 27, 1944, in Chicago, IL, and was a retired employee of Zion-Benton Township High School. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Survivors include sisters, Diane Pare and Pamela Smith, both of Zion; nephews, Steven Smith of Zion, David (Julia) Smith of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and Chris Pare of Zion; and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Egan and Helen Oquist; and three brothers. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3 012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
