Obituary of Catherine Perpich

Catherine Marie Perpich, 78, of Mesa, AZ, died on Thursday, August 12, 2010, in Mesa. Catherine was born August 27, 1931, in North Chicago, IL, to Mike and Eva Perpich. She was a member of the former Mother of God Church in North Chicago. Catherine retired from the U.S. Steel "Wire Mill" in North Chicago after 30 years of service. She was proud of her Croation heritage and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Catherine is survived by her sister, Helen Davis of Winthrop Harbor, IL; nephews, Michael Richardt of Winthrop Harbor and Ken (Debbie) Richardt of Winthrop Harbor; nieces, Gloria (Ron) Parks of Zion, and Susan (Giles) Weston of TN; nephew, Michael Perpich of IL; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John and Frank Perpich and their wives; and brother-in-law, Glen Davis. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Hospice of the Valley, 6063 E.
