Obituary of Margaret Neeve

Margaret B. Neeve, 92, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and formerly of Zion, IL, and Hot Springs, AR, died in her home on Sunday, July 18, 2010, surrounded by her family. Margaret was born on May 18, 1918, in Zion, IL, to Warner and Alma Fox. She wed Wilbur Neeve on October 5, 1940, in Iowa. Margaret was a long time member of Christ Community Church (formerly Christian Catholic Church) in Zion where she acted in the very first Passion Play that the church presented. She always had a smile on her face and her heart was full of love for her family and her friends. Survivors include children, Pamella Simons of Zion, Marilyn (Arthur) Lackenbach of Winthrop Harbor, and Harry Neeve of Pleasant Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Doug (Tracy) Amann, Michael (Carla) Amann, Barbara Amann, Angela (Tony) Bean, Billy (Marilyn) Simons, Keith Forster, and Craig (Stephanie) Lackenbach; great-grandchildren, Christopher Amann, Kevin Wates, Johnathon Bean, Jessica Granlund, Nathan Bean, Doug Amann Jr., Shelby Hall, Alyssa Amann, Nicholas Amann, Mathew Amann, Alexander Simons, Lillian Lackenbach, Jordan Simons, and Tyler Simons; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur in 1993; brother, Lloyd Fox; sister, Shirley DeRosia; son-in-law, John Simons and her parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Friends may greet the family on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society .
