Obituary of Leonard Wensle

Leonard "Cy" Wensle, 79, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, Illinois. Cy was born February 8, 1931 in Waukegan. He worked for Wetzel & Turner Chevrolet, Sorenson Chevrolet and retired in 1996 from Classic Chevrolet after 46 year total. He enjoyed square dancing with the Lake County Promenaders and he enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with home projects. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bea; children, Richard (Patricia) Wensle of Beach Park, Illinois and Lori (Dennis) Daisy of Union Grove, Wisconsin; and three nieces, Jennifer Cote of Beach Park, Illinois, Rita Paulson and her son David of Beach Park, Illinois, and Joan Wensle of Florida. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Charles; and his parents, William and Catherine Wensle. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, where a funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Gehl Devore officiating. Interment graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park.
